This packpack was a lifesaver for a recent long overseas trip. We were in areas with lots of pickpockets and this bag has safety zippers all over. It folds down to practically nothing to throw in your suitcase but holds a lot of heavy things. The backpack does, however, need one important improvement to make it better. Because of how packable it is, it has no reinforcement in the straps or back. That means you can’t really use it as a backpack if you put a camera, umbrella or other heavy items in it. It needs some reinforcement, at least across the upper straps and back of the backpack, even if that’s just the wire mesh they use in their purses. I ended up carrying it over one shoulder the whole trip because of how it collapsed. I would sacrifice an additional half to an inch of packability to be able to use it as a backpack. Other than that, really great product.
