This backpack is dirt cheap and awesome quality! Took this Beast on vacation and it held up like a champ, even with a lot of heavy items. Fits in the overhead luggage on airplanes which is nice, and seemed to keep moisture out fairly well. I didn’t really use the waist band strap while toting around, but buckling it and having it behind me was unnoticeable.
Zippers are big and sturdy and the stitching seems to be strong. The material isn’t cheap feeling and held while I roamed around with 8 kilograms (around 17 pounds) for three days. I’m pretty sure I had even more weight as I went through the airports since I kept my heavy stuff in my check in bag to avoid overweight baggage fees.
One odd thing is my friend who went with me on the trip bought the same bag a week after I did and there are differences in the build. His strap across the chest connecting the shoulder straps weren’t sewed permanently down so he had to re-strap the straps through the loop buckles because they slipped out. He also had 3 Velcro molle rows on the upper pouch and mine doesn’t. Mine has 2 non-Velcro rows. His bag is still really awesome, but be aware we have gotten two different bags from the same seller and product page. Like I said, both bags are champs and worth the small price they’re asking.
Will buy another for the wife.
