A great purchase for the price point in my opinion. A Samsung 43" 4K, HDR, Smart TV for around $600. Despite being a Samsung, I was cautious about what to expect. Surely something was going to bother me, but so far this TV is amazing.

It goes without saying that the picture quality is excellent. This is my first experience with HDR and it's stunning the difference it makes with a better contrast ratio and color accuracy. Pair that with increasing the resolution to 4k (and having media that is native 4k of course) and it's gorgeous.

Built-in speakers usually don't impress me at all, especially being a Sennheiser headset user. That said, the speakers with this TV are surprisingly good across the whole range without distortion or vibrating the panel.

One quirk that bothers me is there isn't a quick way to change the source on the TV. When I pull up the menu the cursor is always on the opposite end of the menu from where the source is and it doesn't wrap around so you have to scroll the long way to get to it. I haven't read the manual completely yet so there probably is a shortcut to change the source and I just don't know it yet, so I'm considering this an "other" and not a "con" or a loss of a star for now.

Note:
The TV does not come with an HDMI cable. So if you find yourself needing to buy one, make sure it's marketed as Premium. The premium certification from HDMI Licensing guarantees that the cable has the bandwidth to support features such as 4k/UHD @ 60fps, HDR, etc. Don't bother with expensive HDMI cables either. It's digital so it either works or it doesn't. There is no signal quality difference between a $5 HDMI cable and a $100 HDMI cable.

Example:
Mediabridge FLEX Series HDMI Cable (6 Feet) - High-Speed Supports 4K, Ethernet, 3D and Audio Return [Newest Standard] - (Part# MPC-HDMI34-6 )

After making a couple of initial changes in the picture settings we are loving the quality picture this tv produces. At first though, right out the box and turned on, the picture quality was not at all what I'd expected from a 4k UHD TV. We were upgrading from a 50inch 1080 LG that was great except the fact that it frizzled out ( black screen) only after 3 years, due to this we decided not to purchase another LG TV and went with Samsung. At 1st the picture had that classic "soap opera effect" happening and because of this I was initially disappointed in t he TV, but after messing around with the settings and reading online briefly, I realized it was a feature ( Auto motion plus ) that I can turn off and on, and as soon as I turned it off the picture looked great it was back to a "normal" view and the clarity was noticeable. When I turned on the HDR feature enhanced the colors and bumped the picture quality up to great.
The remote control is lightweight, modern looking and paired effortlessly with my cable box, xbox and surround speaker system, that was a very happy surprise and the easiest pairing experience i've ever had. The voice control feature on the remote is nice perk. As long as this TV can/will last more than 4 years I would recommend it.

We have an HD box. Comparing to the old Sony we had, this TV is way, way much better. Picture is very clear and crisp. It's like as if you were there. It is also easy to hook up. You don't need to pay for a technical or geek support.

Previously ordered a 49" 4K but it arrived defective so i looked into this 1, at 1st i thought it would be too big for my bedroom but i caved and i'm EXTREMELY happy i did....this TV is absolutely gorgeous, i haven't even bothered with the settings other than turning off the motion plus or whatever it's called and enabling the hdmi for 4k UHD, the images are EXACTLY like i see on a high end model at Best Buy, i have a PS4 Pro and an Xbox 1s hooked up and they both look amazing running BF1.....oh and not to mention how good K O D I looks ;)......all in all a great buy and i highly recommend this.

Good picture, much improved treatment of OTA channels. Smaller remote more difficult to use than previous version. Power cord a little short. I'm quite pleased with the set.
