ALLERGY INFO: TREE NUT FACILITY

On the back, and not part of the Amazon description, so far as I can tell, the package says ALLERGY INFO: Packaged in a facility that handles tree nuts. This is unusual and should have been noted on the Amazon page (if it was, I couldn't find it). This could be a big deal if I want to make nut-free foods and potentially share them with friends with serious nut allergies, although my kitchen is not nut-free, or for a buyer who is severely allergic to tree nuts. Condition was good, supposed to be fresh for the next 9 months or so, seeds might be a little smaller than normal supermarket ones, no rocks or sand that I could see on quick glance into partly opened package, don't think there was a lead warning like another brand I didn't buy.

I no longer buy tahini for my hummus. I just give these seeds a quick roast, put them in the food processor along with some oil and a little salt, and I have homemade tahini for my homemade hummus. YUM!

This was the 3rd or 4th pkg of Sesame unhulled seeds I have purchased from Amazon, Terrasoul Brand in the past 6 months or so. I have been very satisfied with all the previous ones, Can't really rate this last pkg. I poured this pk into a container that would hold the contents of the pkg and poured the balance of what i had left over from the pkg before, and was stunned to see the difference in looks. The new ones on the bottom look almost as if they are half black seeds and "white" (which is a misnomer) because the lighter seeds are not really white, they are a soft ivory color. I did not taste any from the new pkg and won't because I know the ones on top are same as others I have purchased. I will take photo, but not tech-smart enough yet to know how to send via iphone. Not to make a pun, but difference between top layer (older pkg) and bottom layer is as much as day is from night. ( black and white) (salt and pepper)! ! will update when I get down to bottom layer, and will try not to mix them till I test the
