PROS:
FIRST, INGREDIENTS! HOW many packaged foods have just a handful of ingredients and they're CLEAN ingredients.
I KNOW there is salt in it, BUT this isn't really that high for me as I generally make TWO meals out of one pouch EASILY, so it is lunch and dinner (I plop half on Pita bread for lunch, maybe mix in some veggies and make a bowl for dinner).
For breakfast, I have oatmeal most days, some days a smoothie, neither of which is high is salt.
SO UNLESS you have a LOT of salt with your other meals, this really isn't bad re sodium (UNLESS of course you're on a sodium-restricted diet).
TASTE - I - LOVE-THIS! How they made barley and lentils so good with so few ingredients, well done! Sometimes I may add a touch of a condiment or spice to change it up, but it's pretty freaking good on it's own.
HEALTHY - LOVE to eat healthy, HATE to shop for ingredients and cook. I like FAST, HEALTHY, EASY and AFFORDABLE. WHICH brings me to the next point....COST.
COST - Considering I easily get two meals from it, GREAT price to eat WELL.
CONS - Like I mentioned, and others have as well, YES, there is SALT, but unless you're on a very salt restricted diet or eat a lot of other salty foods during the day, this is a good staple to keep in the house as a base for ALL kinds of veggie bowls or to eat with Pita or Naan bread. I also wish the ingredients were ORGANIC as in TRUROOTS products, that I also have as a staple. Because of their organic ingredients, and a little better price point on SOME of their options, I tend to buy more of TRUROOTS than I do of 365. BUT I LOVE BARLEY and I don't always want brown rice in the mix, so this BARLEY and LENTIL IS AN ABSOLUTE FAV!
