We bought this March 10. We weren’t able to use it for the first time until tonight, as my wife had a nice stay in the hospital, and cooking wasn’t really a priority.
So we break it out for the first time tonight, May 5, and throw in an onion on the fine chopping blade. We get the first one through, but see little black bits in with the bits of onion. It’s PLASTIC from the upper platen, being shaved off by the blades, into the chopped onion.
The second slice of onion then BENDS one of the rows of blades, so now that tool is completely useless.
This device is complete crap, and now I’m outside of my return window with a shockingly bad and useless appliance.
Save yourself the trouble. Don’t look at the other reviews and think that the law of averages will protect you. These are serious defects, and they’ll come to bite you in the butt at some point.
