This is a total plug for his website service and class. Basically he wrote the book so you have to pay around one hundred dollars to get his membership service. What a joke. So many better books then this one for math shortcuts that actually teach you how to improve your mental math instead of selling you on this services!

I have been out of school for many years and I hate being completely dependent on a calculator. This book teaches you some simple tricks that are easy and effective. I followed the directions and my calculating skills increased almost immediately, and I didn’t have to use my fingers and toes. Admittedly, this wasn’t the way I was taught math calculations in school – but it works – and I’m not in school anymore. Highly recommended

I didn't know what to expect with this book. Didn't realize that learning these techniques would be so simple. Not saying that learning and calculating portions are "easy". You are going to need practice. I am saying that the techniques were explained clearly and simple to understand. I just recently finished this book and now have the ability to calculate by visualizing the numbers while using the techniques that were taught. I'm definately still a novice but this book has taught me the ability to do mental math. Do not expect an instant fix though. You're going to neet practice. The process may not be instant but it will be relatively quick if you do put in some work.

Obvious math tricks taken from other much better books. Read Bill Handley's Speed Mathematics Instead

Not for my brain. In addition, for instance, a set of three rows of 4 digits added to one row of 5 digits takes me only 5 steps using the old way (vertical format). Using the new and improved way as demonstrated by the author, it takes me 11 steps; more time, and a headache to boot, because the new method requires a horizontal format; adding from left to right; slashing numbers here and there; deleting 10 if the answer is 11 or more and tnen... All I've got to recommend is for those wanting to become a human calculator, is to download a free sample of the book and hope that it includes chapter 2. It contains explanations of the new way or doing math.

This is a rather unique book offering you how to do math calculations in record time...A short book but one packed with plenty of knowledge and understanding of how math is taught and how it should be taught...the author takes you step by step on how to do each type of calculation....encouraging to try it and inferring you practice worksheets and correct answers at the end of each chapter...if you have problems understanding you can contact him...there is an online course to take if you feel a need to have visual and auditory teaching...not only recommend for teachers at all levels but you the general public...

"I am about halfway through the book and I am finding it amazing. The schools don’t teach this method and it’s a shame. I am 80 years old and I am trying to keep my brain as active as possible. My wife is suffering from dementia and I don’t want to end up in the same way if I can help it. I purchased the book off of Amazon at a great price but I wish I could afford the Udemy video course offered. It would certainly make learning math faster."

The methods really work. I been practicing for a couple of days now and I can already do multiplication faster than I could before. The book has links to the authors video course on mental math. I checked it out and I was surprised to see that over 10,000 students are enrolled in that. One thing I liked about the author is that he doesn't pretend to be someone who is an expert. He makes you believe he is an average guy and gives you the confidence that if he can do it, so can you.
