Not bulky, yet warm

I love this jacket; this is my second one! I'm a dog walker in Boston, MA and wear this daily in the winter. Even though it seems thin, it's very warm. I ordered small and it fits perfectly, but you may want to buy one size larger if you plan to wear heavy layers (also runs tight on arms). I personally only wear a tank top and long sleeve thermal or base layer underneath, and that's usually warm enough for me. I'm active, but this jacket has kept me warm below freezing and even in the teens. It's also waterproof!

Wont keep you warm ,junk coat

This will not keep you warm at all its very thin wind goes right threw it along with the cold i do not recommend this jacket at all if you are looking for warmth and waterproof. it is also cut on the small size i am a small and ordered a medium and it was tight cant have anything thick under the coat or it wont fit, this is more for spring or summer nights not fall or winter, big disappointment for the brand and price

Runs really small

This product runs really small. I normally wear size small for everything. I'm 5''3"" and 120 pounds. I ordered this item for my ski trip but ended up returning small size and ordered medium. Its a great jacket but runs small(shoulder area and length). I would definitely recommend to order one size up!

Columbia is one of the best at making ski clothing for cold temperatures. I ordered two of these -- one for myself and my daughter. The OH technology maximizes your body heat in the coldest conditions. I won't buy anything but Columbia from now on. I tried another maker and had to return it to spend a little more on this jacket -- and it was worth every penny.

This is a good winter jacket, not for all around seasons. I wish the layers could be removed to do so but thats what you get at this price point. It's just a good budget water resistant and wind proof snow jacket. I wanted an inner chest pocket which is hard to find for some reason but this has it and an outer chest pocket. There is a thumb hole material u can use or not at end of cuffs to help keep wind out. The inside has a relective metallic material that heats up from your own body heat to keep you warm. If you are cold in this jacket it's because you haven't warmed it up with your body heat and/or your jacket size is too big. I ordered M for layering but a small would be better for heating to work properly as I notice it works best when it's pressed tight to the body. Lots of extra pockets, elastic waist bungee, removable hood, and water resistant outer. The jacket will still get wet but u won't get soaked inside like many. The only gripe is the side pockets are medium shallow so small cards will fall out if pockets left unzipped. Use chest or left arm pockets instead. Love the Velcro adjust cuffs. Slight stitch strands after 3 months use. Material gets very sweaty once heated like after running and going onto train so I can imagine it's not great for spring. more than worth the price considering build quality. comparable to llbean coats

Why does Columbia make any other jackets than this? This jacket is perfection. You can see I had to UNZIP IT in a 30 degree weather in the middle of the Utah mountains while hiking and sledding. This jacket keeps you so warm, for reference I am from Cancun; I know warm.
I am 5' 3" and about 130lbs and got a size small. The jacket is not too thick and not too thin. You feel free to maneuvers and there is plenty of room for you to add a fleece under it if you want more; I did not need it.
I am so happy I found this jacket so I can start enjoying cold conditions and stop hating the snow.

I haven’t actually worn it skiing yet so I can’t speak to how warm it will be but the cut is flattering in that it’s not too bulky. This seems to run small. I’m 5’7” 132lbs and small up top so I usually get size small but that seemed a bit tight across the shoulders, especially for skiing, so I sized up to a medium and I’m very happy. I got Nocturnal which is a true navy color. Very pretty.

Warm but average style

Nice Jacket, but I just looked like a big box in it, didn’t have much shape. All of these Columbia ski style jackets always fit weird in the upper arms, the sleeves seem twice as wide as they need to be. Jacket color was nice and it was definitely warm. Would have done the job great, but I found a style that was a little more flattering. Also didn’t have pit zips.
