How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Never turned on so don't know the noise level. Tried to put it in the computer case and was an extremely tight fit!
Routing of the vables is almost impossible when I tried in an ITX case I bought (sent them back).

1.0 out of 5 stars All PSU's on Amazon are cheap junk that won't power socket 478 PCs
Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2021

New review:
I have irrefutable proof that AT LEAST THREE major PSU brands on Amazon, Seasonic, Corsair and EVGA are selling cheaply made power supplies for higher prices than ever and none of which are robust enough to power a socket 478 motherboard.

#1 None come with 20 pin and 4 pin socket 478 MB cables anymore.
#2 when I get the 20 and 24 pin connectorsx and connect any of my socket 478 mbs to them, they
experience sudden PSU death without ever even coming on.
#3 a Corsair Customer service person claimed that Corsairs work with all PCs, but a Corsair technician said
that none of the current models work with socket 478 MBs and that PSU sudden death is a possibility.
#4 I just got a used older PSU for my socket 478 MB and its much heavier than the lightweight, more
expensive 24=8 pin-only new ones.
#5 Previous PSU's from a few years ago had both 20 +4 pin configs and 24+8, unlike today's lightweights
#6 Pentium 4 CPUs were notorious power consumers of something like 90 watts by themselves.
#7 if the previous points didn't clue the reader of this fact, here it is again condensed: All of the PSU
brands are hiding the fact that they've been selling ONLY cheap, lightweight PSUs that won't power
older PCs & charging about 30% more for today's cheap junk PSUs

old review:
EVGA missed it by THIS MUCH (The 10 year warranty BY 10 YEARS)! This Turkey PSU from this fly-by-night outfit came DOA out of the box and therefore is the first and last PSU of this brand I will ever buy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Had to RMA - PCIe Cables
Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2020

If you have a dedicated GPU that requires a 8+6 Pin (Type 4?) for your graphics card, be sure to check the cables.

I have an old GTX980, and because it only includes PCIe cables,I tried hooking 2 separate cables from the PSU into the GPU. For someone reason, my post code indicated it had an issue with the graphics card. I swapped out the GTX980 with a new RTX5700, same issue.

Then I looked closer at the cables. You can see in the images, one of the wires isn't correct - And that is the end that goes to the power supply.

Sadly, had to RMA. Hopefully I just got a bad set of cables, but don't think I"m gonna take the chance and getting another one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Died In 3 days of use.
Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020

The system I built needed 437 maximum watts per the Outervision calculator. This PSU should have barely been taxed. The system was built, loaded and configured over a 3 day period and after about 12 hours of total use it shut off. It would come back on if switch was shut off then turned on but die again in less than 30 seconds. Eventually that didn’t work MOBO logs showed it was a PSU event. Amazon was great about authorizing an immediate return and credit.

Why EVGA doesn’t burn in and load test a product with a 10 year warranty is beyond me. I chose not to buy another and be their QA/QC person. A Seasonic will replace this.

1.0 out of 5 stars Missing Parts

Hmmm... Looks like this product was used by someone else previously.

The box was sealed with packing tape. The plastic bag with the cables was obviously ripped open. There were several small zip-lock bags in the package. One was empty. It is obviously missing parts.

Item will be returned.
