Never turned on so don't know the noise level. Tried to put it in the computer case and was an extremely tight fit!
Routing of the vables is almost impossible when I tried in an ITX case I bought (sent them back).

Be Careful Which Cables You Use.

The Good: the unit functions perfectly. Quiet, no problems there.

The Bad: like an idiot, I hooked it up to my existing modular power supply cables because like an idiot, I assumed that all modular power supply cables are created to some standard such that they'd be interchangeable, and I didn't want to redo the cable management for my hard drives. SPOILER ALERT: it killed almost all my hard drives. NEARLY ALL of them. Thank GOD the unit I was replacing was only semi-modular, or this'd probably have killed my motherboard too. They DO, apparently, warn you not to do this, in teeny tiny eyestrain font red text in the manual, so I guess it's my fault for not RTFM. But the only survivor was my enterprise grade 12tb. Three NAS grade hard drives AND my boot SSD, all dead. This was a very expensive life lesson. Do not repeat my mistake. ALWAYS, ALWAYS RTFM. And PLEASE, for the LOVE OF DATA, check to make sure any cables you use will work right with any power supply you get. I lost decades worth of stuff that had no other backups. DO NOT BE ME.

Anyway assuming you don't doom yourself by being an idiot, it's a good power supply. Dinged a couple stars because I'm sad and bitter about losing every single college assignment I ever worked on and needing to redownload my entire video library because of something that really should be more widely known. Not sure why they're even allowed to call the things 'fully modular' if the cables aren't interchangeable. Bleh.

I personally prefer corsair or seasonic, but reviews on the seasonics weren't what i expected, and corsairs ax/axi (digital) units aren't cheap, so reading that the G/P/T series could match them in build/component quality, so i decided to try the G+ (improved G series).

I recently noticed that one of my gpu (power) leds came on, showing insufficient power.
Swapped out the cable for that connection, no change, only moving all other connections on the psu to the adjacent ports fixed, and since its repeatable i know its a psu issue, even that its not because of low/bad output or voltage regulation.

Another unit with same quality /output doesn't experience the issue, so nothing else is causing this.

So far it still works, but i won't risk damaging any components..
Evga offered to fix it, but cost for shipping gets me halfway to a brand new one, and expecting any repair/replacement will take at least 2-3 weeks, ill just replace it.

Compared to other gold rated units i installed in the past 20y, this had the shortest time until it failed.
