I have been using this "3 cup" espresso maker for the past 5 months. Before that I was relying on my Nespresso system at .70 per shot. While this is a fraction of what espresso costs at Starbucks it, none the less, can add up. With my Grosche 3 cup stove top espresso pot I make a delicious cup of cappuccino every day at a fraction of the cost of nesspresso and/or Starbucks. The grosche pot makes the coffee and I have a separate aeroccino foam maker to make the creamy foam for the cappuccino.
Honestly the nesspresso makes a richer brew but the Grosche is a very close second but cost a lot less to make. The so called 3 cup pot really only makes enough for one cup of cappuccino if you are drinking from a 6oz cup. What I love about the Grosche is that it works very well and the handle is designed to be away from the body of the pot so it doesn't get hot. I have had bialetti pots before that were ok but the handle was too close to the pot and would get hot or your finger would touch to pot which gets very hot. This is eliminated with the handle design on the grosche. I am very pleased with my purchase. I would rate it as superior to the similar bialetti model.
