My husband and I love quinoa. We decided to try this brand- Amazing price for organic quinoa! I cooked a double batch (4 cups water) bring to boil, add 2 cups of rinsed/drained quinoa. (PS sometimes quinoa can have a bitter coating- don't know if this did or did not, but I rinsed it thoroughly for a good 3 or 4 mins). Bring to boil (about 15 seconds), add cover turn to low for 20 minutes. Take pot off heat and let sit with cover still on for 10/15 mins or until you get around to it. I left mine sitting there for an hour or two until I could get everything else done. You can halve this but my husband devours quinoa salad, so I make bigger batches. We often eat it plain, but also often doctor it up with cucumber, red pepper, lemon juice salt and pepper. Sometimes I will throw in some lentils or chick peas for other texture. Amazing! Very al dente- not mushy at all. Really enjoyed this brand/source.
