1.0 out of 5 starsDo not buy. Nvidia needs to rename this a gt 1010.

So I knew that this was a lower capable card with different memory, but I thought with the same name, it would be only a little less powerful, if gimped seriously at all. Wow, this card is not even close to an actual GT 1030, and in my opinion, they definitely should not sell this card for the same or even close to the same price. As of this writing, this card is going for over $20 MORE than what an ACTUAL GT 1030 should go for.
I tested this in Skyrim Special Edition, which the original 1030 could play at max settings between 55-70 fps, this card only sometimes approaches 20 fps!
I tested Rocket League, which an actual 1030 can play on "quality" settings perfectly, usually over 60 fps. This card never quite hit 30.
I tested World of Warcraft on "5" settings, which, again, a GT 1030 can handle between 50-80 fps, easily, even in Legion, and even filmed the difference. In specific flight paths where a genuine 1030 can hit 76 fps, this card wasn't quite hitting 30, with the exact same memory and processor. I would call that unplayable.
Keep in mind, there is no indication either on the box or in the ad for this GPU that it is this severely hobbled. This is, at best, half the card, and at worst, 1/3rd the card, and selling for more than the original MSRP, with the same model number!
Do not buy this GPU. Buy a used previous gen gpu, or wait for something better at the same original price point. This is not only dishonest, it throws into doubt Nvidia's whole model and pricing scheme.
