Shoes are comfortable for my feet, especially as I nearly always add Dr. Scholl's soul pads to any shoes I wear now days...at my age muscle loss becomes a sore problem! Pull tabs are a necessity for ease in pulling these shoes onto my feet, however the inside diameter of the tabs are small even for my small fingers, and thus require additional pressure and manipulation to get my finger into the tab to pull each shoe on. As I prefer to have the lower cuffs of my pants fall below the tops of my high top shoes or boots when I'm standing, these tabs become an obstacle and cause my pant cuffs to hang-up on the tabs, thus requiring a manual repositioning of my pant cuffs each time I stand, particularly when exiting the car. My solution was to carefully remove the tabs from above the stitching and buy a 24" shoe horn found elsewhere on Amazon. Works great!
