I've had this waffle iron over six months and it's really great. The removable trays are super easy to clean. Waffles just pop right out — unless sometimes when I use too much batter and it sticks to the sides. But even then, a damp rag on the exterior does the trick. Non-stick spray is needed, but even when I've forgotten, it wasn't a difficult cleaning job. I don't have a dishwasher, so this is really important for me that batter doesn't stick in the grooves and make it a chore. The wells are deep but heating has been even and consistent, cooking waffles all the way through without ever burning. I'm a foodie who experiments a lot in the kitchen. I've tried the other trays and they also work really great, but most people probably won't have a use for those extras. Still, this is a great bonus for the price. I have to admit I'm biased against Black and Decker because I think of the company for power tools, not kitchen gadgets. I'm happy to be proven wrong because of the quality and convenience that went into this product.
Only negative thing to report — the power chord has a bar to wrap around for storage. However, this doesn't lock the chord, so it will unwind unless you secure it with a rubber band or twist-tie. Recommendation for future model, Black and Decker? Hope this helps if you're in the market for a new model.
