It makes very good coffee, but using the recommended ratio yields a very weak brew. Per most coffee directions on the bag or can, you want to use 6 oz of 200 degree water to 20 grams of course ground coffee. However, if you follow the seller's directions, you will use 12 oz of water with 28 grams of coffee instead of 40 grams.
Also, I've found that 3 1/2 min of brew time works best for me and I like to scoop out the "crust" before pushing down the plunger for a less bitter brew.
When I wrote the Seller about the ratio they just gave me a full refund instead of explaining or addressing the question. They didn't want the unit returned either.
