So glad I found this spiralizer

After going Keto, I found I missed pasta a lot more than I thought I would. So I bought a Zoodle maker and not only was it slow, it immediately broke after about two zucchinis. Looked for something a little sturdier and found this. Not perfect, but it really does the job well - and has lasted through many, many zucchinis! Definitely worth the cost, and it works very fast.

Too Much Fussing Around Required

I'm at the age and stage in life where I'm not willing to fiddle with something for 5 or 10 minutes to get it to work. The blades were tricky to switch out, especially if you value your fingers. The prongs that hold the produce weren't very deep, so it was difficult to get harder produce (carrots, cabbage) to stick securely; they kept falling off, no matter how I re-configured or cut them to fit. Slicing zucchini worked great, but the plunger part doesn't align completely with the blade (only the top part of the blade touched the produce). It still worked, just seemed like it would work better had it been dead on level with the blade. Plus, and this may have just been this particular one, the screw threads for the handle were stripped slightly, so the handle went on crooked. It still turned, but it may have eventually come off. I'll never know; I returned the product.

I gave four stars only because there are very little instructions that came with in in a small bookle (hat. I was wishing that the pictures were bigger as to what each of the six blades do. They are so small that I could hardly see them. I had to get a zucchini and experiment with each blade to see what it does. Or they could have included that information in the booklet. Also no instructions how to put in a new blade. I just had to figure it out myself. Other than that, it is all metal(you have to be more careful of all the sharp corners and places). For function it works really well. I really like it a lot! It gives me lots of different sizes of noodles. From angel hair to large ribbons. I have the plastic one, and I never got noodles, only lumps. This one works beautifully every time.!

Works much better than the plastic ones or the hand held ones. Very quick results and very sturdy as suction cups hold very well. I am pleased, only issue is that it’s not as long as I would like, I have to cut the vegetables in half. The picture shows a full head of cabbage but I don’t see how that would fit without cutting it.

I've used this several times now on apples, potatoes and zucchini. It works great! Full metal construction. Doesn't wiggle or wobble even on big stuff. Changing blades is extremely simple. Cleanup is fast. This is defiantly worth the additional price you would pay over the plastic stuff. It's something you won't have to buy again in 10 years. Time to make some Zoodles!
