I like fried egg sandwiches--I use the "thin" sandwich rolls. This little pan makes a perfect size for the sandwich thins. This little pan is perfect for making single eggs. The pan is aluminum NOT cast iron as is stated--I informed Amazon but the description hasn't changed as of this writing.. The nonstick works fine. As to longevity, only time will tell. If you like a single egg and don't want the egg white to go all over a larger skillet, then this is a great pan for you--I actually beat a single egg in a small dish and then add it to the pan because it makes a better round cooked product that way. The pan is heavy enough so that the handle doesn't tip the pan over. I use a small spatula to turn the egg but am thinking about getting an even smaller "cookie" type spatula to turn the egg--I am an "over hard" type of egg eater. Great so far.
