These are heavy pans and good at what they do, but I am very disappointed in the handles. They are too skinny and I've nearly dumped out the contents of the pan because they rotate in my hand too easily. I've babied these but they still scratch easily even though I haven't been using metal utensils. Unless you clean them each time with Barkeepers Friend and a plastic mesh scrubby, there will be a film on the bottom after they dry. I inquired with All-Clad support about purchasing lids for them and they basically told me to get lost, they don't sell them. But you can buy the pans with lids if you purchase them that way from the start.
I was hoping for the quality that All Clad used to represent and I came up short. My next pans will be from Made-In, and I might get those sooner rather than later. The handle shape on these just makes them plain dangerous to cook with. Too expensive for what you get.
