Better than the Nikon adapter?

YES! I own the Nikon FTZ and although it works great! It did not work with my Nikon AF-S 300mm F4 ED-IF lens. The Viltrox worked with the same lens without any issues. So far, all of my lenses that have worked with my Nikon FTZ have worked and even some lenses that DID NOT work with my Nikon FTZ work with the Viltrox.
The build quality is great and the AF is spot on and face and eye detection is very accurate or as accurate as the Nikon adapter. Save yourself money and buy this instead of the Nikon brand.

Didn't work with my new Sigma 70-200

I figured I'd give this one a shot. It did work with my older Sigma lenses, but not with my new Sigma 70-200mm sports model. Auto focus wouldn't lock and I got error messages in the camera. The same lens works fine with the Nikon FTZ II adapter. The Nikon is also much smaller and lighter. There's a firmware update USB port on the Viltrox adapter, but there are no firmware updates yet.

If you only have older lenses, this adapter may work, but I suspect the newest generation of lenses will have issues.

I am the happy owner of Nikon Z5 and Z50. I used to have a Nikon D750 and of course a bunch of F mount lenses. With the Nikon FTZ adapter I kept using the F mount lenses seamlessly.

A couple on months ago I got a VILTROX NF-Z FTZ adapter for a much lower price. I have used it with both cameras and my old F mount lenses. So far I haven't noticed any difference nor issue with Nikkor f-mount lenses, either full frame and APS-C.

A different story with the TAMRON f-mount lenses, the VILTROX adapter is unreliable, sometimes works ok, sometimes not, while the Nikon FTX works consistently and reliably all the time, both cameras, all tested lenses.

My suggestion is to have at least one Nikon FTZ and use VILTROX as a backup or a secondary adapter for Nikon F-mount lenses.

Fits on the M50 Mark 2 & great for a budget

I was questioning a lot of other brands selling this adapter but decided to pull the plug on this and it did not disappoint. Been rocking it with my Canon M50 Mark 2 and Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens and man it has been fun. So overall great adapter.

I see this adapter being great for those who recently bought a mirrorless like the EOS R and still have EF-S/EF lenses they want to use especially with the price of RF lenses. Not to mention if you just got into photography or video and don't want to spend a fortune on lenses, starting out with some EF-S/EF lenses is a great start. And from there you can expand to RF lenses later down the line.

This adapter didn’t add too much weight to the camera , and fit perfectly on my M50. It felt very secure and I can’t wait to put it to use :). It is has a simple clean look. Definitely recommend !!

Bought this for my Canon M50, it works exactly as advertised. The auto focus is quick and sharp. There is a small bit of vignetting but its not too bad. I did notice a small bubble or fleck on the rear lens of the booster, but this did not effect the photos as I could tell. Overall I'm very happy with this item. The best feature is the extra light stop you get from your lenses. It will turn a F/4 lens in to a 2.8/F all while almost eliminating the crop factor.

The image quality with the booster is a bit softer that without, but its not that bad. You wont notice if only using for causal / social media. It will become more apparent if you tried to use this for professional purposes.

the only way to autofocus on the original tamron 150-600 with the Nikon Z system

Great news if you have a tamron 150-600(the first version, A011) and planning to buy/migrate to Z system.
Today I tested and the autofocus really works with my beloved tamron 150-600 and my Z6ii. before this adapter I could not autofocus with the FTZ, only manual focus. the stabibilizer with this adapter seems to be overacting and on all the time, but I managed to get decent photos with VC turned off(havent determined if the on sensor VR was active but I suspect yes).

Almost Perfect and Great Value

For what this is and what it does the price is perfect. I have never had a lens fail to talk or had any autofocus issues. I have been shooting on my M50 with the f1.8 50mm EF and 55-250mm EF-S for just about 2 years and only have had 1 problem.

On to the negative. The screws on this thing come loose. Loose enough the whole lens can move causing issues like weird softness. If you don't mind checking the screws from time to time or putting some locktight on them it isn't an issue. I definitely recommend the adapter, but just be aware of the screw issue.
