Started it up to juice today, dropped in some apple chunks and it slowed down and started blowing smoke out everywhere!!!
Worked okay for the first couple of uses. It works for carrots and quartered apples. The chute tapers at the bottom and has a large, sharp plastic piece that sticks out into the chute area. This makes putting anything that is not thoroughly cut up into the chute almost impossible. I tried to juice a small apple that fit into the top of the chute, only to get completely jammed in the bottom of the chute causing me to have to take the top off and push the apple back through the top. This unit does not have enough power to juice whole fruits anyhow. The fine mesh strainer on the cutting wheel is very rough, when compared to other brands, and causes a lot of gunk to build up on the screen. This reduces the amount of juice that is removed form the pulp, and it comes to rather wet and sticks to the top cover.
