Works like a charm!

This is an amazing PSU from evga. I had a 750w psu before but it wasn't enough and my computer kept encountering random shut downs while gaming. As I was looking for a new sfx psu my decision boiled down to the cooler master sfx v850 gold or this from evga. Even though the cooler master was about $50 cheaper, I went with this one because it would be delivered sooner. And I do not regret it one bit. After replacing my psu I have encountered zero issues. I've also heard about the cooler master unit having eratic fan curves and noise issues with the fan. The fan on this evga unit is whisper quiet, only audible when stress it. If you're on the fence about buying this psu for your system, pull the trigger. You won't regret it.

Incredibly Short Cables

I purchased the smallest Micro ATX chassis you can buy. It has the SFX power supply mount on the bottom of the motherboard tray. These cables are SO short they cannot go around a motherboard and make a ] shape. Its about 3 inches to short. And obviously you can't go across the motherboard if you have a real video card. Which I do. Incredibly disappointing. I would only buy this PSU if your case has the 24 pin motherboard tray and the PSU making a straight shot to one other. Otherwise it will be entirely to short.

Quality Power Supply With Lacking Cables

First off, to be clear this is a great power supply. Feels well made, comes in a really nice box with solid packaging. EVGA knows what they are doing when it comes to building computer components. It's completely silent most of the time when I've used it (fan didn't turn on). Done a small amount of gaming, running it with a Core i5 12600KF, and a Radeon 6600XT.

My only gripe is the cables! I understand that this is designed for small PCs, but I'm putting this in a cryorig taku which is small but quite wide, and the cables just aren't long enough which is a bummer. Had to buy some cablemod cables to replace the 24 pin and 8 pin cpu connectors. If just those two were longer, I bet this would work in nearly 100% of builds.

In conclusion, good job EVGA, but also not quite there. If the cable lengths could be listed with the specs it would be helpful!

So I'd never actually seen an sff powersupply to I had bought this one, and boy did my brain have a backflip or what...

I could've swore when I opened it I had been duped and for sure this was a fake item. I mean, it's sooooooo tiny. I did a bit of reading and just started laughing out load at myself. It was so unnessacery to purchase this. Could've easily used a normal atx for this "itx" case.

...but all in all it does what it say and works fine, haven't heard a peep from it and it's seemingly pulling the load around like it's a child in a sleigh.

IMO the power supply is decent. Not bad, but also not amazing. But the reason I bought this is because of EVGA's warranty.

Power supply died just under 2 years of use so I requested a replacement. It's been a few days since I installed the replacement and my PC has been running fine, so I think I'm all set for now.

Man, how technology improves! I have a DanCase A4 that I couldn't run liquid cooling in due to the SFF PSU not giving quite enough clearance. When I unpacked this EVGA 750W, it was even smaller. With more power! So far, like the rest of the PC, it has been silent and hasn't given me any trouble.

Im my O11D mini the PSU fan would turn on when just idle.
I fixed this by adding a fan back there.

If this isn't possible in your just as small or smaller case, get the Corsair sfx psu.

Cables too short

I love the build quality and noise level. Less enthused about the overly shortened cable lengths. The 20+4 ATX motherboard power cable and the 2x CPU 4 pin header cable are just too short for a bottom mounted PSU itx case. It needs about 1” longer cables to support. completely unusable for a micro-atx build.

My girlfriend and I found this product off of PCpartpicker and ordered it to install to her new desktop. The power supply works fine so far for us, the noise level is considerably low and hardly noticeable, which is a plus.

THE PROBLEM WAS:
This power supply's stock cords for the 24-pin ATX (Motherboard power) cord and 8-pin EPS (CPU) cord were too short to accommodate our standard ATX size motherboard.

By tucking the 8-pin CPU power cord behind our AMD graphics card (he chunky), we hardly made it to the power supply's home, and honestly the contacts are being greatly stressed. The power supply isn't even fully seated in its spot, because this cord is so short.

The 24-pin ATX power cord was significantly short, and ended up about 4-5 inches too short to reach where it needs to reach on the ATX board, having to snake around the graphics card (247mm length). We ended up having to buy an extender, delaying the proper setup and contrasting the aesthetic of the computer.

Aside from the blatant need for longer stock cables, the power supply has functioned fine so far. Below is the listed dimensions of the stock power cables for this model, from EVGA's website (I have not seen any other review listing these dimensions yet).

ATX Cable: 300mm (TOO SHORT)
EPS Cable: 400mm (TOO SHORT)
PCLe Cable: 400mm, 510mm
SATA Cable: 300mm, 410mm, 520mm, 630mm
Four-Pin Peripheral Cable: 300mm, 410mm, 520mm, 630mm
Floppy Adapter: 100mm
AC Power Cable: 1500mm

I hope this information helps educate buyers towards the right power supply for them.

Good SFX psu but could be better

Overall this is a really good SFX psu. I'm using this inside a Cooler Master NR200. My CPU and GPU are a bit older and aren't as power hungry as current pieces of hardware. Because of this, the fan in the power unit is basically silent or doesn't even turn on. The cables are long enough for me and probably okay for most SFF cases. Anything bigger than SFF might be a bit short. My only issue is with the quality of the cables. They aren't individually sleeved and instead are ziptied together at both ends and then sleeved together in a mesh type material. The cables are stiff out of the box but can still bend enough for most angles. For the price, it's a very good psu and I would recommend it for anyone building in a SFF case.
