5.0 out of 5 starsAccurate, stable, and reliable; Good Deal Overall

I am an award winning Barista that has competed in many places throughout Italy, Japan, and in the USA. I have used scales that are 100xs more expensive then this one and yet they are almost no distinguishable differences from each other, in terms of stable accurate readings that you can trust. I trust this scale so much that it is my go-to scale when I am traveling and want to make coffee.
Obviously this isn't perfect, no scale can be; it can only get to a certain degree of error close to perfect. This one is about as close as you can get without buying a professional scale, which I have compared this one to. Overall it can be anywhere from 0.3 to 1.2 grams off. But for a cheap plastic scale that is under 20$, that's more then acceptable.
In my experience the best thing you can do to help this scale preform the best it possibly can is to replace batteries on a monthly basis and make sure to put scale on as level surface as possible. As a professional you can bet I am much more fussy about these things, so I actually place a level on every surface I put this scale, but as long as you have a good eye it probably won't make a noticeable difference to you.
I give this a 5/5 for being as good as it is given the price.
EDIT: Also do not use the batteries that come with the scale, they will work; but I tested them with my volt metter and found them to be delivering the minimum amount of power to make the scale work. If you want best performance, use freash new batteries from a trusted brand. If you want to go the extra mile you can also just test the battery's before they go in, as long as they test above 1.2V each you are good.
