Still hesitant to use this. When I pulled it out of the box there were a few minor scratches, not a huge deal. However I started to notice a black film/grease on all the parts. The lid, the stem, and wiping the inside with a paper towel left the towel dirty as well. This made me a bit more nervous, not sure what chemicals were used in the manufacturing. I would caution everyone to wash thoroughly before use. Im a bit worried the grease made its way onto the filter, which I'm not able to wipe very well.
There are a TON of these models being sold on Amazon. I paid a few bucks more because I thought the Mueller brand would have at least a slightly better quality, I was wrong.
