4.0 out of 5 starsGreat Performance And Battery Life
Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2019
I am an original G900 owner. The G900 is known for bring wired latency to the wireless form factor. However, it's battery life, while not bad, was simply tolerable in my opinion. I would need to charge it once, maybe twice, a week. The G903 Hero Lightspeed on the other hand isn't in another league, it's a whole new game. I've had this mouse for nearly a month now and haven't needed to charge it. It's incredible and this is while using the 1000 Hz poling rate whereas I used the 500 Hz poling rate on my original G900.

This mouse has two downsides. The first, and it really is subjective, is ergonomics. This could fill my hand better but as it stands, it's comfortable and ambidextrous. The second is price. There is no getting around how expensive this mouse is but I really do love it.

1.0 out of 5 starsDouble clicks after 9 months, Logitech support giving me the runaround
Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2020
As many other reviewers pointed out, this mouse uses very poor quality switches. It's now double clicking for me after around 9 months. I contacted support, but they are giving the runaround... They've asked me to capture videos showing that this mouse double clicks!! Whoa, are you saying I'm lying about your defective product?

Why all the trouble Logitech? Don't you read people's complaints online? Don't you already know you used bad quality switches, and now everyone is complaining?
This is not what I have come to expect from you!!

One reason I went for this mouse (even though I was aware of the poor-quality switch issues) was Logitech's great support in the past. I've been a Logitech customer since 2013. My first ever product was MK 710 and when the mouse in that bundle started double-clicking after 3 years, they honored the warranty and sent me a replacement very quickly. Now with this mouse, I've been going back and forth with Logitech support for 10 days.

They first started by giving me instructions on "updating the drivers, using the GHub app, trying a different computer" blah blah. When nothing solved the issue, they sent me a link to a bogus website, asking me to capture a video with my phone showing that their bogus website detects unintentional double clicks. Once I sent them the video, they responded "oh we couldn't open the video, could you upload somewhere else?" Well here it is! Enjoy the video I captured at your request!

All the trouble for what?? Just send me the damn replacement already. Given the whole work-from-home situation due to COVID, I would've expected them to support people who use various computer peripherals. Needless to say, this mouse is my daily driver at my full-time job, and it's really annoying that it's double clicking so horribly.

2.0 out of 5 stars A downgrade from other models, no Middle-Mouse-Button Click, and double click issues
Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2020
Style: Mouse OnlyVerified Purchase
I now own 3 different models of the G900 series of mice: The original G900, the G903 SE, and the G903 Lightspeed (this model being reviewed). They are apparently switched to cheaper manufacturing and parts, because there is no longer an audible or tactile feedback from pressing the Middle-Mouse-Button (MMB) present on older models and any generic $10 mice. In addition, the mouse developed a double-click issue within weeks of receiving it, while my years old G900 only started doing that recently.

Without MMB feedback, playing many games, especially strategy games, becomes extremely unreliable and uncomfortable as you are never certain if you actually pressed the MMB. In fact, it's not just the feedback, more often than not it simply isn't actually pressed, leading to lots of issues. Even worse when it is pressed, but then releases half way through something even though you are still physically pressing it. You can never tell, so much that I had to remap the controls to another button (MMB Scroll-Left), which on the mouse DOES have feedback. So while there is feedback for Scrollwheel Left/Right, as well as Up/Down, pressing on it for the MMB doesn't, which is baffling. This is even more disruptive when doing 3D work like 3D modeling, causing all sorts of headaches when the mouse just decides to mess up your models by double-clicking and releasing MMB constantly. It becomes such a hassle that any generic $10 mouse becomes more usable and productive.

And even with the feedback issues and the fact that it just doesn't respond sometimes, the older models did NOT have this issue. Both my G900 and my G900 SE do have feedback on the MMB, didn't have double-click issues immediately within weeks (conveniently after the Amazon return period), and effectively have all the same features of the G903 Lightspeed. Yes, the battery life is amazing and I have to give them kudos on that, but they are great on all the G900 series mice so it's nothing new.

TL;DR: If your games and work rely on having a functional middle mouse button, and you don't want your approximately $130 (USD) mice from becoming unusable due to double-click issues, look elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for lefties, great for battery life
Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2020
Style: Mouse OnlyVerified Purchase
Before I bought the G903 with the hero 16k sensor, I almost bought the original G903 because it was heavily discounted at $65, while this was discounted at $100. However, I did my research and found out that this model has significantly more battery life than the original; 140 hours of battery with the lights on, compared to 24 hours with the lights on. Crazy! I was buying this mouse for a newly built PC that I was going all out on, and was coming from a laptop and a basic laptop mouse. Although those don't have cool RGB effects or buttery smooth sensors, they do have battery life going for them, so having literal months of battery from a single AA battery was what I was used to. Obviously 140 hours is nowhere close to a month, however it's still plenty for me, as you can just plug this in for charging at night when it starts to get low.

Aside from the battery, The DPI buttons are useful for switching from desktop to gaming sensitivities. The software also lets you program the buttons to have different functions depending on what software you're using,, making lightroom shortcuts very nice with this mouse.

2.0 out of 5 stars This is my third mouse. Breaks after a year.

I like the comfort and flexibility of this mouse. I tried other Logitech gaming mice but this fits my hand the best. But the break after a year. This is my third one already. If this breaks again I'll be forced to find something else. Too bad though because I like the mouse otherwise. I suggest buying an extended warranty. I wish I did.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible experience. Known defective product. I’ll never buy another Logitech product.
Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2021

There is a well known issue with the G903 mouse. After a random amount of time it starts double clicking randomly with the left mouse button. It gets to the point where you can’t even drag items around your desktop because holding down the left mouse button will double click randomly and drop the item. Makes any sort of gaming impossible. They even refreshed the G903 series and yet still put the faulty click sensors in the new product. I’ve had to have this mouse replaced twice so far for the exact same issue. And each time Logitech made it as hard as humanly possible to RMA. They want pictures, videos, an essay on the issue, and your first born basically. Then they take two months getting you the replacement. Their hope is that you will get mad and give up. It’s been a nightmare dealing with them. I will never buy another Logitech and don’t recommend Logitech products to anyone else.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great mouse! But a little bit disappointed about the packaging.

The package wasn’t rapped with any air-cap, thus, the mouse with box inside gets around. This mouse isn’t cheap. Even the mouse I got was fine, it would be much better to rapped with something so the rap can protect the mouse.

1.0 out of 5 stars "Hero" version unusable due to G Hub software
Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020
Style: Mouse OnlyVerified Purchase
I've been using a G903 for years on a Mac. It's a great mouse and the only one on the market with a wireless charging mat and Mac software, to my knowledge. At least, it was great until Logitech decided to mess with software that did exactly what it needed to.

The new mouse is nothing but problems. Right out of the box, Logitech Gaming Software simply wouldn't recognize it. It turns out, Gaming Software has been superseded by the newer G Hub, so if you're planning to use Logitech hardware going forward, that's what you'll be dealing with.

Simply put, G Hub doesn't work. Every week or so, G Hub simply stops doing, well, anything (aside from showing me a spinning G logo for hours on end), and my mouse and mouse pad revert to both their default (and very distracting) RGB… uh… goodness as well as the default button and DPI settings. The only way to get things going again is a full reboot; even closing G Hub entirely and relaunching it will not get things working.

To top it off, the middle click on the newer "Hero" G903 is, simply put, terrible. Every single button is nice and clicky but the scroll wheel, which provides almost no feedback of any kind. It's also very easy to slip and scroll sideways when trying to press the middle button.

Short of a resolution to the G Hub issues (which I'm absolutely not expecting in the next week), my new mouse is going back and I think I'm going to have to give up on Logitech going forward. I won't go into detail here, but quality control on a recent webcam purchase from them also left a bit to be desired.

Update: After innumerable G-Hub failures, I finally gave up and dumped the whole setup in the garbage where it belongs.

It's really too bad. If Logitech had spent a few more cents on the BOM (my middle click also never really worked correctly) and actually cared about their software, this could have been a pretty amazing mouse. Now I'll probably never buy a Logitech product again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware the mouse click switches
Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2020
Style: Mouse OnlyVerified Purchase
I bought this mouse Aug 20th, 2020 and it's now Nov 30th. Finally realized that I'm not going crazy the mouse is simply having issues. The left mouse click will actually stop considering itself as being "held down" which creates random sporadic drag and drop issues and creates major painful gaming issues.
Explanation example, let's say I were to draw a circle in paint. Random bits, roughly half worth, of the circle won't be actually drawn out because the mouse registered the click as being unclicked of and on even though I never physically let go.

This is incredibly depressing because other than that issue, I really loved the mouse.
In fact at first I really thought I must be going crazy because the left click still works, it's just very randomly that it will flake out for a moment and "unclick" itself and then re-click itself down again because of course I'm still physically pressing down on the left mouse click the entire time for certain things.

But for how much I spent on it, I can't even use it now. As a Systems Administrator, it's flat out dangerous for me to use it while I work from home because the mouse click being held down unregistering randomly leads to servers being accidently drag and dropped into the wrong host environments, or files being drag and dropped into other folders while moving them around that they weren't intended to go.

I'm back to using my old previous G900 which is thankfully still going strong, but I may need to serious consider buying Logitech again if this is the sort of hardware quality I can expect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the disabled :)

I was in a bad car accident 4 years ago that severed the tendons in my right wrist. Rendering my dominant hand useless as I can now barely bend any of the fingers, and have little feeling. I study graphic design and I'm a gamer so I honestly felt like all my introvert hobbies and luge were over. I was deeply depressed. I ended up buying a Steel Series Sensei 310 and found I could start editing again, and continue to game to a certain extent. But it was lacking due to a lot of games needing you to use a lot of keys to fully play. I ended up biting the bullet and purchasing this mouse due to the amount of buttons it had on it. I've been playing COD competitively again, and even have my own portfolio website where I plan on selling fonts soon.

The only downside I personally see in this mouse is the button for the infinite scrollwheel. I don't really understand the purpose for it. I feel like they could have just used that spot for an actual programmable button and the two little buttons underneath it could have merged into one regular size button instead of two tiny buttons that where smooshed to fit that spot. It would still be 11 buttons just minus the scroll wheel button. That's my only gripe, and for me it would have been perfect. It may not be an issue for most people since I assume they added it for a reason and for a specific target. But it wasn't for me so it just ended up being useless and weird. But other than that it's perfect.
