I broke the lens on a brand new GoPro Hero 8 Black. In order to get the repair authorized I had to send in the proper proof of purchase. The problems started with Asurion's inability to accept the only proof of purchase I ever got from Amazon.They kept telling me I need to send addition info. I just kept sending the same things to them because the info I sent was exactly what they were asking for. This was 4-5 times.
Then I finally got approved for repair after several attempts. Then Asurion could not seem to get a return label sent to the very email address I received 8 things from them in the weeks leading up to this point. They finally mailed a label to me snail mail.
Once I sent the camera back to them it was repaired fast and correctly and sent back just as fast. And because they did not have to replace the camera my Insurance is still good for the remainder of three years.
However Asurion failed to include my apartment number in the return address so the day I was waiting on arrival I was told at 3;00pm I needed to correct the shipping info. The camera came the next day. Good thing I didn't take off work to wait for the camera or I would have missed two days of work.
I'm not too sure I will buy this insurance on another purchase in the future.
