My Ricoh tough camera died for no reason while snorkeling and I was able to get a replacement really easily. Great protection backed by a professional company. Simple and without headaches. Already bought coverage on my new replacement camera. Great product and company!

Not sure this is worth the money

I insured a camcorder that has broken. I called Tech support who confirmed the camera needs repair and a claim. The claims person set the claim and told me the mailing label for repair would be received in 2 hours. 5 hours later I called back only to be told it could take up to 24 hours. 26 hours later I called back and they told me it was sent. I am a smart person who knows to check junk files, archived files and even trash files, but alas, no email with the return label. Tech said they send then and give it two hours. It has now been 4 hours and I still have no mailing label. They have my correct mailing address and I have received things from them before. If you can't get a mailing label to get things repaired, then why spend your money for this warranty. I am NOT a happy granny right now. If I get this resolved soon I will update. If you do not see an update, don't waste your money. They do nothing.

I have been very thankful that I have added Asurion protection for new small electronics I've purchased on Amazon. Experience has shown me that many items with microprocessors are likely to fail shortly after the manufacturer's 1-year warranty expires. So, whether it's a coffee maker or a trail camera, if it has an embedded chip, I strongly consider the cost-benefit of adding Asurion. When I have needed to make a claim, Asurion has been quick and responsive. I recommend.

Update: After 6 weeks of asking for a label to be emailed to me or mailed, I finally got a label. I had to just keep calling multiple times a day and then finally, refusing to get off the phone until I received a label by email. Once I got the label and shipped it out, approximately 10 days later, I received an email that I was getting my money back on a gift card as the camera was defective. 48 hours later, I did receive the money back on an Amazon gift card but would have rather been able to apply it to my Amazon credit card. At least they finally stayed behind their warranty. Be persistent and demand you won't get off the phone until you get the label and you'll have better luck. Original post : Have had camera less then 6 months. Use it only for product pictures. Never has camera been dropped or damaged. Lens quit working. It is still under Minolta's Warranty and they wont return my call to fix it. Asuirion won't stand behind it and tells me someone will call me back in 24 hours and 10 days later. still no call. Originally told me they would have me take it to someone to serve it and now when I called they asked me if I shipped it? Shipped it to who? The magic fairy camera God??? Been trying to get a label and have been lied to time and time again. Told it is emailed, told it's being postal mailed...told someone will call me back; Nearly 2 months I have been fighting this and I am lied to consistently. Warranty is worthless and a huge rip off.
