Easy to use

a year ago we purchased a large format printer along with Asurion's protection plan. After a power surge damaged the printer, we sent it to Asurion (they provided shipping label and paid for shipping it to them). They were unable to fix it (part no longer available) so they are reimbursing us the purchase price.

They were very attentive and the whole process was much easier than I expected it to be.
Once you buy it, there is nothing further you need to do until you need to use it.

I just purchased a new printer and of course purchased the Asurion protection plan again to cover it, just incase.

Highly recommend.
without the protection plan if something were to happen, just the cost of shipping the large printer to/from getting it fixed is going to be more than the cost of the protection plan.

This is the third printer I had from the same order, the first one arrived defective (Amazon's fault, really), then they sent a new one. That one failed so I sent it to Asurion who "fixed" it and sent it back. The packaging was so poor that it arrived broken and the lid almost completely off. It didn't work. I sent it back promptly and they can't fix it so they refunded the money. Sounds good but that same printer is now $1500 when I paid $1000 so I can't even get a new printer with the refund. I am buying all electronics from Costco from now on.

I like that such protection plan exists. I bought it to go along with a major electronics purchase. Because nothing is gone wrong and the expiration is almost 4 years way, I do not have any way of knowing how easy or difficult it is to take advantage of the protection. But it was easy to buy and I trust it will be easy to apply if I should ever need to.
