Easy to use!!

I never purchase coverage on electronics and have good luck with the machines lasting for a decent amount of time. For some reason I added the coverage when I purchased this router and I had to use the policy two years later. This is only the second time I have used an insurance policy between my house's and this policy in 40 years. They sent me the information to send the router back, I sent it off to them and within two weeks they called me, told me it couldn't be fixed, gave me a gift card back to Amazon to purchase a new router. I am very happy with this service.

Would like some accompanying documentation.

I purchased this protection plan with a Synology NAS, however there is no deliverable.
I would like to get:
1. at least an email explaining the claims process and what the terms of coverage are (i.e. how many devices, which devices etc...).
2. a start date for the service (does it start after the manufacturers warranty expires or at time of purchase)

I tried to file a claim on line and found out the company looks up your Amazon receipt based on your email or phone number, however their copy of my receipt is literally a blank document.

Overall I'm left feeling like I've been swindled, because I don't have a clear document to point to showing that I have coverage. Furthermore I don't even know if I have to login and register my product.

Time will tell. I recommend keeping your receipt documentation!

I only have one issue. It was difficult for me to find out how to make a claim and get the repair authorized. I don't believe any efforts were made to hide Asurion from me. All I needed was the Amazon order number. I purchased the monitor. Later, I purchased the Asurion warranty before the monitor arrived. Possibly even the same or next day. So, I was worried that Asurion would have an issue with that. They didn't. They only wanted me to prove that I purchased the warranty. You may even be able to purchase a product and buy the warranty right here on Amazon. I also noticed that right on Asurion's website, you can purchase a monthly warranty that covers all the electronics in your home. Just provided them with all the current products you own. You may need to provide online order #'s or receipts, not sure. But, they will cover all your home electronics, mobile electronics, work electronics, and auto electronics. They may even cover products that aren't traditional identified as electronics. So, I though this was really cool. They even have a page on Asurion showing you the average expense to fix a product without a warranty. Manufacturer's warranties can be a real headache to begin with. Shipping fees, either to them or back to you. Only covering parts but not labor. Or not covering labor for the whole time period, yet claiming a 5 year warranty, 1 year labor for instance. Asurion takes all the guesswork out of protecting the products you have come to depend upon. I was worried that there would be some stipulation that would make my repair not allowed due to some fine print regulation. That doesn't appear to be so. I haven't received the product back yet, but the text said the repair was finished, so that does confirm that it was repaired. So, I am very happy with the service I have received, pretty fast considering it was a power surge and usually products hit by a surge need almost all electronics replaced. I figured I would end up with a pro-rated gift card that wouldn't be enough to even get a 20" 720p monitor. So, I am very pleased with the customer service, pre-paid shipping both ways, communication was A+ (email + text), tech support is yet to be verified but I will update as needed (if you don't hear from me, that means it is fully repaired with no issues). Most warranty companies fix enough products to remain a company while pocketing all the money from products that never need service. The old adage that if you buy the warranty, you'll never use it and if you don't buy the warranty, you will need it, simply doesn't apply. I bought a Dell Monitor U2518D, I bought the warranty, and I used them both. Thank you Asurion and I won't hesitate to buy your warranty on future products I purchase. I may even get the warranty that covers all my electronics. It's only $30 a month. Some warranties on certain products are $500 to over a grand just for a tv. The warranty covers accidental on the monthly plan as well. I'm thinking about my iPhone here. Buying a new one is expensive without the upgrade pricing. Ouch. It's really got me thinking. Just might. I just might.

Typically I don’t end up using services like this even if I get them. This time though the screen on my gaming computer was pealing away, super odd. So I started the process to use the warranty as I have had it for a year+ by now. Sent it in to be fixed and it turned out the fix wasn’t possible. A refund was sent right to my email so I could get a replacement. It only took a week between the first contact to get an answer including shipping and work time. I’m sad my screen wasn’t salvageable but it worked out in the end thanks to the warranty.

In June of 2020, I purchased a Logitech Z906 Surround Sound System. With it, I also purchased a 4 year Protection Plan from Asurion, given the cost of the Logitech System. After about 18 months, the first of 5 Logitech Satellite speakers burned out. I sent it (postage-free) to Asurion who repaired or replaced it, and had it back to me in ONE WEEK! That was ultra-fast and a welcomed shock. The repaired/replaced speaker worked just like it was supposed to.
Within the next few months, 3 more Logitech Satellite speakers burned out (don't buy Logitech) and again, I sent them (postage-free) to Asurion. Asurion reimbursed me for the FULL PURCHASE PRICE of the original product, though due to outsourced (the Philippines) and questionable Tech Support Personnel and to be fair, a minor blunder on my part, it took about 3 weeks for me to receive the reimbursement. Still, I was happier than a pig in....., well, you get the idea (wink). If you're going to invest a lot of money in an electronics purchase, I suggest you invest a few more dollars for an Asurion Protection Plan. Dollar for dollar, I think it's one of the best plans (and investments) out there.

You never know when you're electronics are going to break down. I would have given it 5 stars, if they would list the product covered with the plan (just a suggestion). I have bought several plans for items, and have no idea what product is for what plan. Until it breaks down, then have to call to see if i bought a plan for it, and if it's covered.
