Top critical review
I got less than what I paid for.

I bought these in March based on all of the positive reviews. I was also influenced by the reviews with pictures of the shelves with lots of books on them. The first problem were the poor assembly instructio. There were only pictures, with the exception of what the pieces were, and how many were in the box of each. Basically, there are coated (for the spill resistance) rectangular swatches of two different sizes, plastic connectors, and metal tubes. The walls you see in the picture of the finished product, are just pieces of fabric. It was difficult to tell which sized swatch to use in certain places. That was made more difficult, because the swatches are almost the same size. Once you've figured out which one to use, you thread the tubes through the holes in the swatch, and stick the ends of the tubes into the connector pieces. This is a tedious process. At the end, it doesn't really look like much. I was pretty pleased with it though, until yesterday. For no reason, one level fell in, and that was all she wrote. Because, now the pegs won't go back in on most levels, and it seem like the openings for the tubes were deformed by the weight of the books. I'll buy a new bookcase, and stop being so frugal.
