Refunds easily and quickly

I used Asurion several times and they typically refund uncontested and quickly. I am only giving them a 4 stars because their communication is only so-so.

Asurion, if you are reading this then please make the following changes:
1. all, not some, emails should come from Asurion
2. the email with the status of my claim should atually tell me what you are doing (i.e. refund, replacement), the claim number and real information about how the resolution is being delivered (i.e. paper check in US mail, egift card, shipping replacement via UPS/FedEx/USPS)
3. make your website easier to navigate to ensure I am getting to the right page of your website for my vendor. For example, this morning I wanted to get to your website page that offers Amazon as a vendor but every search I did was taking me to a page where a selection of cell phone providers were the only vendor choices.

Not Happy With Asurion!

We bought this "protection" for our phone and after about two months the phone quit working. Asurion's policy to give us a full refund is unfair because we bought a four year plan and now it's no longer valid, after only two months! We should have either had it repaired or replaced at no charge - the way this works is we lose out on $22 - and if we buy a new phone with the refunded money, we aren't protected. I won't get Asurion "protection" ever again!

I called Asurion, spoke to Tech Support who immediately identified my plan, advised that my printer was still under the manufacturer's warranty, identified and resolved the malfunction -- straight forward, the entire call took 15 minutes -- COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!!

One-Time Use Warranty

While it was easy to make a claim against the 4 year warranty, it is just a one-time use warranty, not a replacement warranty for up to 4 years making it necessary to purchase a new warranty every time you use the warranty. My thoughts concerning any warranty, the equipment should be covered for the duration of the warranty purchased. I simply got may purchase price of my item back and had to purchase a new one. If I want it covered, I have to purchase another 4 year warranty. Maybe I should have read the fine print. Asurion did refund the cost of my equipment that was damaged.

I like the service but didn't want a refund and you don't refund the total cost including taxes. Doesn't matter why, the idea for a warranty service is to replace or refund...I will have paaid double taxes on my next purchase.
But that is the only issue I'm really glad I have the Asurion coverage. It did come in handy this time round and I'm grateful.

I know everyone has their unique experience with Asurion, and I can see where a lot of people felt they were screwed over or that Asurion didn't do enough. My experience with Asurion is in between the middle to positive experience. When it came to replacing my 2018 MacBook Pro 15in, the process was simple... but the waiting period for replacement or payout took almost 8 weeks, which I thought was ridiculous and they never provided more than 1 offer for replacement device, but they paid out, and many options to pay out and that was also important to me because I was dealing with identity theft and fraud so I froze some accounts or closed/limited to a select few methods, and then it was instantly resolved. About a few months, I filed a claim on my motherboard that I purchased on Amazon over a year ago and got the Asurion extended warranty, and to be honest, I had no idea what to expect from what this warranty would cover if I had to file a claim and what was different between manufacturer warranty and Asurion coverage. Well, fast forward to today, and glad I had bought it. I had a power outage the other day while doing intensive media rendering, processing, and encoding that probably friend some part or component on the motherboard that no longer boot or post or give me any information on what could be wrong. I switched our the components and power supple with another working computer and the narrowed it to the motherboard being damaged. ASUS's warranty doesn't cover power surge, but Asurion does from the time you originally bought it. I filled a claim online and it was quickly processed and resolved and I got an Amazon gift card in the amount that was equal to the purchasing cost. I was thinking of getting another motherboard off amazon so it kinda worked out for me and Asurion resolved my claim in less than 24hours including sending me the gift card to my email immediately upon UPS receiving the motherboard and being sent to them. Thank you Asurion!
