Easy claim & worth the little money

Service worked perfect... my bag broke after 14 months... 2 zippers broke & inside was coming apart (I use this sling everyday) when I did a claim it took maybe 15 minutes to do a claim via chat and got my egift card for the amount I paid for the item... so worth every damn penny (literally I paid like $2 for a two year extended warranty) so if you looking to protect your everyday bag/sling this is a must.

Little FYI if your bag/sling is under 1yr you will need to deal with the manufacturer 1st... i worked retail when I was younger and is standard protocol... so make sure you registered your item or wait till the 13th month lol.

Buying another bag as we speak but buying the 4yr warranty this time

This is not replacement insurance!!! I bought this protection plan for a phone, instead of being told I will be receiving a replacement phone I get this response, 'Once we receive and examine your product, we'll send the eGift card reimbursement to the same email address. You should receive an email containing your eGift card reimbursement information within 3 business days from when we receive your malfunctioning product. " How does an eGift card help someone purchase and use a new phone if its conditional on when a product is received? How many people have a spare phone to use until you receive your eGift card? How many people have an additional $200 or more to buy a phone until you receive your eGift Card which is only available for purchases on Amazon? Also, it's only good for a one time use. Once it's used you will need to buy a new plan even if its the same exact product. If your ok with this, spend the an additional cash on a product that only has a one time use...

I bought this for a backpack for my junior high daughter. The bag messed up in a little over a month. When I went to the sight, they said the backpack was still under the bags warranty. Since I bought it from Amazon, they don't really handle it since it is not registered. Neither Eastport nor the insurance are giving my money back for this cheap product. At least not without jumping through hoops. I am still trying to continue to contact both.

I purchased a inexpensive computer sleeve for my iPad. It cost $21.00. When I went to checkout online another pop up on my checkout listed a product insurance coverage that I did not look for let alone want! I purchased my item unbeknownst to me that I also purchased the coverage. SCAM! I was furious I contacted the insurance company to cancel this coverage and complained to them that is was totally deceptive to pop up on my checkout and promote their coverage when I didn’t want nor look to secure their services. They said AMAZON set this up and to take my complaint up to them. Buyers beware of the big company that is raking in all this money during this pandemic. Yes AMAZON has to be held accountable for scams as well. Buyers beware on pop ups like higher fees in shipping when you didn’t ask for quicker delivery, insurance coverage etc...

I purchased this protection plan with my son's school bag and when it torn at the zipper and bottom of the bag, I called in a claim and was transferred to 3 different people to then find out that they don't have protection for his type of bag, and they were not sure why it was offered with the purchase. They said I would need to call Amazon and dispute it with them. I don't have the time for all of it, but it was very disappointing
