Very easy to install, the wire splice clips are a little hard to snap tight. Took no time at all to install. The instructions state they are for dispensers that have a metal wall; mine was plastic so I put some foil tape down before sticking this in place. Hoping that will be sufficient. Take into consideration where you place the splice clips - the instructions recommended 1" from where the wires come in - putting them at this location made it difficult for me to fit the "casing" and the control panel back on (but still doable). I think if you put the clips lower on the wires, you'll have more room to work with. Regardless, these arrived quickly, fixed my fridge & I'm happy. :-)
I had been living with the GE frozen waterline issue for 10 years. Insulating the back helped but didn't solve the problem. This little gizmo did the trick. I have tested it with the coldest interior temperature and in the winter-time. Water flows always without freezing. "Boo" to GE for selling a defective product, but "Yea" to the fix.
just installed this in my GE frig ... install went ok ... a little detailed but ok ... do yourself a favor and look up the YouTube video on this ... helps a lot .... update …. its now been installed "weeks" without a single freeze up … this thing is legit ...
I waited 3 weeks to post this review as my water line has never made it past a week without freezing again. I am happy to report that this product actually works. Water line is still running well with no problems.
