Damaged package not woth the cost

Teeny, tiny thin package was cracked somewhere, so product was spilt in packaging upon arrival. I don't think cost per size is a value especially when I can't use some of it from the start. Disappointed.

Fenugreek Blue has a mild maple kind of bitter taste. Many will cook using this spice adding flavors to soups and stews. I like it in tea. This POMONA powder tastes great added to my herbal tea blend. It creates a more complex flavor. A little goes a long way. I think the price is just about right for the amount you get considering you don't need to use much. 5 stars.

I occasionally (few times a month) cook with coriander. This comes in a packet form vs in a bottle. In my experience this helps keep my spices ‘fresher’ until I can re-fill my bottles. I don’t know if there is any science behind that but these are stored in a dark air sealed bag vs a bottle that is exposed to sunlight and may not be as airtight. Really, unless you use coriander on a regular basis I don’t know if you could tell much by this particular spice brand. If you prefer a ‘fresher’ dried herb and reuse or have jars for spices this is probably a better way to go. Just understand that this is a small bag, as you can see, but it will last a good bit of time for the vast majority of users.

Relatively small packet of chili powder, with rich color and decent flavor profile. No unique or exotic source material, in fact the ingredient list literally states: 'Red chilly pepper powder' There is a place for being smartly cute, like in the product name, but I prefer ingredients to state honest critical information. Speculating that the ingredient is simply red chili pepper that have been dried and ground. That one sentence tells you more than the label on the product. haha.
Anyway, the quality of the powder has an adequate vibrant color, and the flavor profile is decent. It's not fiery hot, less than the red pepper flakes that i use. Would have been wise to sell in a resealable pouch; too much for one usage and small volume that necessitates a fairly small container.
In accord with other reviewers, I think the cost/quality valuation is questionable.

Good but Expensive

I do a lot of cooking with red chili powder, from Mexican to Cajun. I've tried many different brands. So this one is definitely good for seasoning. In that respect, it's a five-star product, absolutely quality. Now, let's talk about the price.

Almost six bucks for an ounce of seasoning. I actually missed how much I was ordering, I assumed I was getting a few ounces. The reason being, most chili powders will run you about 75 cents to a buck fifty per ounce. At least at the time of this review, this chili powder is $5.49 for an ounce. I'm sorry, but that's expensive. Too expensive for red chili powder, especially from a relatively unknown brand. Sure, you can find a gourmet chili powder for around $10 an ounce, but it's premium one made from select peppers (like ghost peppers).

So I'll definitely use this for cooking and seasoning. And I do like the flavor it lends to meals. But I don't plan on ordering it again. And I honestly can't recommend that anyone else drop almost six bucks for just an ounce of this stuff. I honestly don't understand what the price is so high, especially considering there's not much that really distinguishes this from any other brand. Good stuff, but hard pass because of the price.
