I ordered 2 different tagine pots from Amazon and evaluated each out of the box before returning the other one and keeping the beautiful Uno Casa Tagine Pot. The tagine that I returned said it had a 4 qt. capacity, yet it easily fit inside the Uno Casa 3.65 qt. pot ... go figure! The Uno Casa tagine came beautifully packaged, definitely suitable for gift giving (though this was a gift to myself - lol). My only distress was the downloadable e-book that was supposed to come with it. Inside the box is a QR code for the cookbook, yet when I scanned it, I was directed to a tortilla cookbook, not a tagine cookbook. I left the seller a message through Amazon, but somehow that message was ignored. After a few days, I went on the Uno Casa website and sent them a message from there. The company sent me a nice email response with the tagine cookbook pdf file attached ... yay. A few nights ago, we used the tagine pot for the first time and it worked great! The base is sturdy, cooks evenly, and I expect it to last for many years. The beautiful lid is ceramic, so I will handle and store it with care. I am very pleased with my purchase, and am glad I didn't buy a clay/terra cotta pot that needs a diffuser and would probably crack anyway. Two thumbs up for this one!
