I bought a 2-year warranty that clearly states "Coverage for mechanical and electrical breakdowns begins after the manufacturer’s warranty expires.” The manufactures expired 2 years after I bought the product. However, Assurant is telling me that my plan expired at the same time as the manufactures plan. WHY would I buy insurance for something that is already covered?! I wouldn’t.
So they basically they are offering no service at all. They are refusing to honor the claim, despite what it says when you purchase it.
