Love This Tagine!!!

Absolutely love this tagine!!! Cooked the food to perfection! Exactly as pictured online. Super fast delivery and packed very well. I leave the tagine out on display since it’s also a work of art to be admired. Would definitely buy from Kamsah again. Thank you very much!!!

Pretty, but not good craftsmanship or customer service

Pretty piece, but seemingly sure to shipping, we had a small break at the top... Wouldn't have effected cooking, but still reachrf out to the seller to see about what to do... Return? Or Sought suggestion for a glue to use so that we could still cook with it., since it could be glued with hardly a trace of a break. No response... Nothing. We researched and found a glue. Then noticed the vent hole was sealed because of too much ceramic glaze. We needed to get a ceramic drill bit to drill and make it useful as a vent. Finally got to cook with it. One meal was decent enough. Had to know how to use/clean. No directions included.

I spent some time in Morocco a few years ago, and I've wanted a Tagine ever since... I didn't have room in my suitcase to buy one there. This one is beautiful; the painting is exactly as good as it appears from the photo, and it was VERY thoroughly packed so that there was no chance of damage during shipping.

Many of the Tagines out there are intended only as serving vessels, so I was glad to find that this one is safe for cooking, even if it's only at low heat. I haven't actually tried it yet, but I'll update this review if there's anything unexpected.

I bought this tagine as wedding gift for my friend and she just loved it! She sent me the pictures of her first cooked dish in it! She said it was amazingly flavorful and not messy at all! Everything just went in it and kitchen was clean and done in a jiffy!! This is a beef and vegetable tagine. I had a bit of a problem on delivery but their customer service took care of it professionally and efficiently. Thank you Kamsah :)

My beautiful handmade pottery tagine arrived just days after placing my order and I am exploring the wonders of traditional Moroccan cooking. The recipes I have tried thus far are all simple to execute and the results are pleasing to the eye and a delight to the palate. Beef, lamb, chicken and fish with assorted vegetables and spices are presented to the table with flair, and the slow-cooking method leaves one free to prepare for guests. The tagine fills the house with wonderful aromas. My wife and I love it.

My Tagine arrived in Perfect condition.

I am very pleased with the customer service. I inadvertently ordered a medium size. I tried to order one size up but my order had already gone through. I was delighted to be sent the large size regardless. This was super important because I needed it for a planned party and had I cancelled and re-ordered it wouldn’t have arrived on time.
I cannot wait to use it! It is beautiful all on its own but i can’t wait to make some chicken lemon tagine! I will take pictures and update once I use it.

This is such a lovely tagine. Not only is it handmade but the design is stunning. Unfortunately when my tagine arrived it had been damaged during shipping and the lid came with a hairline crack. If I weren’t planning on actually using this for cooking it wouldn’t have been a big deal but I did want use it. I contacted customer support and they were awesome. An man named Ed helped me out and they sent out a new lid straight away free of charge. I totally recommend this product. Also just for reference I ordered the larger tagine and it will definitely feed up to 4 people!

Great cooking tagine

This is my 2nd tagine purchased from Kamsah. I really like it. I use it on the stove top and it cooks meat tenderly in under 2 hours. It also does depend on your stove settings. Make sure to follow the directions and cure it before use and you have to use a diffuser. I'm very happy with mine. I haven't tried cooking with it in the oven yet. I always heard people saying the tagine with glaze aren't for cooking ..but this one does have a glaze and is a cooking tagine..I suppose it depends on the type of glaze used.

It was a gift for my daughter and she said it was very pretty. Unfortunately she already had one. We thought that she would be able to take it to Kohls but this item does not qualify for that service. I was really disappointed. She lives out of state and she would have to send it back and then my account would be credited. I'm more than a little disappointed.

I LOVE my fair trade tagine

I love making tagines (the food) and looked for a tagine (the cooking/serving dish) for a long time. While there are a lot of inexpensive, lightly used tagines of unknown origins available, I was so happy when I found this one - the perfect choice for me.

In addition to the used tagine market, you can buy new tagines from high quality manufacturers, but I just couldn’t get excited about buying such a traditional cooking dish from Emile Henri or Le Creuset, both French companies, particularly knowing that the French colonized North Africa. I wanted either a local or North African potter.

Here’s why I love this tagine:

1) I particularly appreciated that it was made by Tunisian potters, since the tagine is a North African tradition. My understanding is that the vendor is a fair trade company that gives back to the craftsmen, which was important to me. (I couldn’t find any third party verification of its fair trade status and just believed them.)

2) It’s gorgeous.

3) It’s lead free.

I intended to cook in it but found that it was easier and faster to cook the food in my Dutch oven or pressure cooker and then serve in this tagine.

This cookware/serving dish is a piece of art that shouts special occasion while paying homage to the culinary roots of tagines. I display it on a shelf in my living room when it’s not in use because it is so beautiful.
