I ordered Hoyle Card game. but received Encore Card games instead. I do not particularly care for this version. You can't pick you partner. The characters change every game. I like to play with the characters to see who plays most like me so I can choose them as my partner in future games

There were issues with the Hoyle game but I became used to them. This version has some issues for me.
- poker / cannot change number of players. I prefer 4 players so that the game moves along but you
are stuck with 6 players in this version
- pitch / if you like pitch you will notice that game points are not counted correctly. not all Ten's are counted maybe not all face cards too but I definitely notice the Ten's cuz they're worth ten points. i can't figure out the opponent's strategy. I notice one player lays down a 2 of trump and the following trump card played will be a 6 or something. the two is a game point so that would not happen even with a novice player.
- spades / again, the strategy of the other player's is weird it's just not as much fun.

Upside: the solitaire games seem okay but I am not a regular solitaire player. Gin rummy is okay. I just learned rummy 500 so not sure about that game yet. I seldom win so at least it's a challenge.

I'm going to take a gamble on one of the Hoyle downloads but they seem dated.

I was looking to replace an old Hoyles game software after upgrading to Windows 10 This is not as good as the old Hoyles, the graphics are weak and there is no "replay" mode in some games . Also, there is a scoring glitch in the Pitch game, it does not correctly add up the points won. Still, better than some of the other post Window's 7 Hoyles games. The computer players are weak, but are at least correct in their playing.

Definitely not the quality of the old Hoyle game. Not enough optional rules, no tutorials for the games and the opponent characters are moronic and annoying. Plenty of games to play but generally speaking very disappointed in this.

No complaints, it’s just what I was looking for.

Dispite the majority of the reviews, I bought the download of Encore Card Games Collection. I have been using the Hoyle 2005 version for fifteen years and I was desperate for a change. I have Windows 10 and I had no problem with the download or compatibility. Compared to the 2005 game this version is a welcome improvement.
