Great jacket!! Love this style of Columbia products the inner dry fit cuff with thumbs holes is awesome. Jacket is a great weight for wearability and movement if your going to be active in it. Slightly longer than a lot of jackets this length and has a slight tail in back to help cover your butt both of which I like. The waterproof is holding up to light rain a and snow. Its quite warm. I can layer under it for extra cold days but also if I am wearing this jacket instead of my parka its because I am out hiking, biking, skiing something active so I am keeping myself warm as well, so I don't know if you'd need to adjust for that. I live in Alaska and it is holding up well for me. I am 5'6" 135-140 and got a small I can fit a few layers under it including fleece. Fleece lined hood and pockets are nice as well as extra inner chest pocket and zip shut outer pockets. Great jacket great quality without spending a small fortune on the next tier of brands

I love this coat!!!!! Omg so soft and lightweight, cute little thumb holes that you can still put gloves on over and be under the outer cuff of the jacket at the same time. It covers my butt so when I sit down on something cold it keeps me from feeling how cold it is lol. The coat I always wore before this, also Columbia did not have a hood, or thumb holes, or cover my butt and I could only zip it when I didn’t feel like breathing. This meets and exceeds all expectations. It is lighter and warmer than that coat too!!! I love this!! I told myself to buy it because it has free returns if I didn’t love it. I’m so so happy I bought it. I’m def not returning it. It may be the nicest coat I’ve ever had. :)

I bought this coat for a recent trip to Ireland, which is rainy this time of year. The jacket held up fairly well to the rain, except for a 2 hour horseback ride in a nearly constant deluge. Even though I was soaked through, I stayed warm because of the interior thermal lining. My only suggestion would be to make it waterproof. Otherwise great coat that kept me warm!

I have never ordered a jacket online before. Usually I have to try on the entire store before I find the right one. I read the comments on this jacket & jumped in & got it. So glad I did. I'm the type of person who doesn't like wearing long sleeves ever because I'm always hot. On occasion I do get cold & need a jacket in windy, chilly weather & evenings. This jacket is perfect. It's so light, but keeps you so warm. It's easy to pack for trips. Takes up very little room in a suitcase. The length is perfect in the sleeves & the back. It just covers my rear (I'm 5'5"). The added wrist/hand covers really keep your hands warm. I decided to get the hooded jacket this time. When I'm stuck in the rain it will be very convenient. Many winter jackets are bulky, heavy & uncomfortable. This jacket is stylish & keeps you warm without the bulk. I know it will keep me warm in the snow as well. 15-30 degree temp is what we get in the mountains in CA. This jacket was a great find. Don't let the lightness make you think that it won't keep you warm. I stood in front of a high power outdoor fan & felt no air coming through the jacket. I was toasty warm. It's the perfect winter jacket. I highly recommend it!

My jacket arrived just in time for Christmas and I really do love it! I was looking for a basic warm jacket with a hood, but not necessarily with fur. This one is perfect. I wore it yesterday in 32 degrees and windy, with a light sweater and it was nice and toasty! I ordered a size up and glad I did.. for reference I'm 5'0, 175 lbs, busty and normally wear size L in tops and jackets. I got this in XL and the fit is just right. I have room to layer and it doesn't look bulky or too puffy. It's long enough to cover my butt and the sleeves are a bit long but that's fine. I like that the pockets have zippers. I love Columbia jackets and liked finding a deal on this one on Amazon. I’m 5’7” and about 175 lb and I got a medium. It just fits perfectly but I didn’t want it baggy so I like the fit. The Omni heat warms you up really quick (and also looks silvery cool). The thumb holes and great to keep the cold out when you’re wearing gloves and I’m glad it has the fuzzy hood. I’m very happy with this jacket

Heavenly Hooded Jacket-Size Large
I’m 5’3” curvy (155lbs), it is really hard to find a jacket that fits my top and bottom without looking like a box..this jacket fits perfectly. It’s really light and easy to move in. Because I am on The shorter side a lot of jackets that would hit someone who’s 5’5” right at the waist, hit me at the thigh which can be restricting but not with this jacket.
Very happy with this jacket I bought the size L, and still have room for a sweater underneath. I returned 4 other jackets before I found the heavenly jacket.
I attached a pic to show the beet red color..I personally think it’s a Brick red, has no orange or pink tone to it. I put it next to a true red dress and pink Sherpa sweater to just give you a better idea of the color.

Cute, but runs small. Warm enough in MN winter.

I’m usually an XL and ordered an XL forgetting that Columbia always runs small, at least for me. This jacket was no exception. I returned it for a 1X and the 1X fits nicely and there’s room for me to comfortably wear a sweater or hoodie underneath, which is essential for Minnesota winters. Since it’s only the end of October I don’t know if it will stand up to the frigid temps we get here in MN, but I will try to update the review with my findings. The coat itself is very lightweight, which is why I have my doubts on it being warm enough for extreme cold. However, it does have that silvery shiny inside lining, which is supposed to help lock in body heat... so who knows, maybe it will be warm enough. Because it’s so lightweight it is pretty flattering because there is less material to bulk you out and make you look like a shapeless snowman. I like the material and there’s a nice cozy liner in the hood too, very soft. Overall, I like this jacket; I hope it’s warm enough!

It is warm enough in MN winters! Especially with layers underneath, which is probably how most dress in winter in MN!

PERFECT!! From North Dakota

First off, I live in North Dakota so if you live in a truly cold area read this!

I ordered this coat on Black Friday, I’ve gained some weight and my under armour coat was getting too uncomfortable for me to handle and I couldn’t layer under it without making it far worse so I ordered up to a medium. When this one arrived and I took it out of the box.. I’ll be honest I instantly feared I’d made a huge mistake, it’s so incredibly light weight I didn’t think it would be able to handle 20 degrees. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong.

This coat is 100% sufficient on its own down to 0 and might even be good below that, but I always wear a light hoodie under it for subzero temps to be safe as I have a 20 minute drive to work. It’s gotten down to -20 so far and I have not had any issues with it. I spend two 30 minute breaks sitting in my car at work without the vehicle on so I’m not getting heat and I’ve been totally warm every time without fail.

One thing I love about this coat that my under armour doesn’t have is the material over the entire length of the zipper, when it’s fully zipped the top rests at my lips and in my other coat that bothered me because I had freezing metal touching my face but not with this one. I also like that the hood is lined with faux fur, my under armour only has a shell hood and is not warm at all it only serves to block wind and rain.

Another feature I love is the material that covers your hands and has the thumb holes (no idea what these are called) when you put the coat on your hand slides right into it without needing to fight with it or adjust it. It also gives ample room on top of this layer and under the cuffs for any size gloves to fit.

The only reason that I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars is the pockets, there’s not enough for me and it’s missing two interior pockets that my under armour has. There’s still the two main ones for your hands and one interior chest pocket large enough for any phone or wallet, but I’m all about pockets and it just doesn’t have as many as I would like. I refuse to carry a purse so I need as many as I can get lol.

Overall, this coat is absolutely wonderful, it’s perfectly warm for subzero temps but also comfortable to wear during a quick run into a store. I don’t think it could possibly be more comfortable, it’s like wearing a soft & warm cloud haha it truly lives up to its name.

If you live in an area with harsh winters, this is your coat. I hope this review helps, I tried to write about everything I was looking for to help me decide. You’ll love it!!
