This is my first pair of burks as the originals aren't vegan friendly... I wear a size 6 in trainers, boots, and heels - I probably could have sized down to a 5 but I'm glad I didn't. After adjusting the straps to the tightest loop they hugged my foot comfortably. I've had them for about a month and there has been absolutely no pain with the "break in" process. Back to the sizing, my heel is about .5-1'' away from the back edge, which is nice.
I'd buy them in a different color other than black and stick with a 6.
