2.0 out of 5 stars2021: A Scale Odyssey
Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2021
Everything was fine on the first day. Then it happened.
At first, I assumed it was simply the batteries. I thought surely the batteries couldn't have been drained in one day of just sitting on my counter, but I decided to replace them anyway. Nothing. Although strange, I thought perhaps I had unfortunately selected 2 bad batteries from a brand new pack. So, I switched the batteries again. Still, nothing. I attempted several times to turn the scale on to no avail and then decided to make bread without it.
Then, as I said, it happened.
I was just scooping in the sugar when the scale came on for the first time.
"Well, At least it works for next time", I thought.
I pressed the off button and moved on to measuring the salt. Again, the blue screen of the scale came on by itself. Odd... I turned off the scale once more and after a minute or so it turned itself on for a 3rd time. I turned it off again and left the bread to bake.
The next morning at breakfast I noticed the scale was off. As I began preparing my 2 eggs, sausage and toast, I decided to test if it would come on. I pressed the ON/OFF button. Nothing.
How can this be? I know that it works and that the batteries are fresh, yet it never comes on when I tell it to. Then it dawned on me. The scale has come with a will of its own. A will in opposition to man kind!
That was 5 days ago. I am cautiously coexisting with the scale for now, but I expect the T-800s will be here soon.
That, or the scale just sucks. 2 stars.
