The shoes look and fit as expected given the low price. It is cheap material so I didn't expect a lot. The elastic bands are nothing more than aesthetic because tightening them really has no effect on tightening the actual shoe but again, no big complaint there. My real issue is what is going on inside the shoe. The inside sole of the shoe has little rubber spikes coming up from each corner of each inside square, rendering the shoes unwearable. It feels like permanent grit underneath my feet and I cannot stand it. Why, Amazon? Why???
