Just, Wow

This 850 replaced my 650 power supply. For the system I built, 650 was enough (about 75 watts to spare), but I always noticed voltage was a little unstable. Well this power supply is OP to say the least. The voltage is stable under load, and where I was getting 120 fps tops, that's now the lowest framerate I'm likely to see. I now have the headroom to overlock my system.

I ordered an EVGA 850 B5 and they sent me a defective one. Upon further inspection it seems to have a bad transformer where it and the ground connection there is no longer a wire connecting it to the PCB board, all thats left is a burn spot where the wire was. Also burned up a track in my Z590 motherboard. No refund or replacement has been made. Order at your own risk.

Probably fried my computer case and stopped working

I bought it to replace an old PSU I had on my computer. After installation everything seem fine for a about week. One day I came back home and my computer couldn't just power on. I tried to figure out what happened. I test my old psu on my computer and it power up for a few seconds and then power downs. Then I tried to two pin power test on the psu and it doesnt turn on(tried the test on my old psu and the fans actually starts spinning). I believe the new psu shorted itself out with something on my computer case. Oh well time for a whole new computer i guess.

i bought this because i wanted to get a new power supple to protect my pc because mine was getting old , plug this one in and hook it up and it pops and short circuits my pc corrupting months of data , and nearly breaking my 700 dollar graphics card. graphics card is now cause flickering displays. i went on my orders to submit a doa (dead on arrival) claim and get a new one. they did not have an option to get a replacement just for a refund which they said that they will be taking up to 50% of the cost as restocking fees and refused to give back the full amount or send a new one.... least to say i called amazon support and talked to them explaining it was a doa and luckly amazon had my back with a-z protection and i got my full money back through amazon. i would highly recomend buying from anyone else.
