This 850 replaced my 650 power supply. For the system I built, 650 was enough (about 75 watts to spare), but I always noticed voltage was a little unstable. Well this power supply is OP to say the least. The voltage is stable under load, and where I was getting 120 fps tops, that's now the lowest framerate I'm likely to see. I now have the headroom to overlock my system.

I ordered an EVGA 850 B5 and they sent me a defective one. Upon further inspection it seems to have a bad transformer where it and the ground connection there is no longer a wire connecting it to the PCB board, all thats left is a burn spot where the wire was. Also burned up a track in my Z590 motherboard. No refund or replacement has been made. Order at your own risk.

I replaced my 600w PSU to this EVGA 850 B5, 80 Plus BRONZE 850W power supply, because I updated my Graphics Card from GTX 1660 S to a RTX 3060 TI and wanted to make sure there was enough power. My PC case was a little tight. It was a little challenge to cramp the new power supply in there and making sure the cables were not yanked out in the process... Yes I should have thought about that before going with the Fully Modular version (smile) But in the end, all went well and the new 850W is running like a charm.
I ignore the fact that it is a Bronze 80 Plus and not Gold. From my experience a reliable brand and plenty positive reviews are more relevant.

Modular is sufficiently full enough for most motherboards. Contains enough cords. Will supply graphics cards with 2 8 pins. Cable quality is there. A little tight too fit under shrowds. Best fit for medium cases due to cable length.
