Hooked it up just like the directions said and when we turned on the computer the power supply started smoking and computer hasn’t come back on since!

The power supply worked great for about a month. Then one day my pc wouldn’t start. I went through a whole rebuild of my desktop with a new motherboard and resetting everything multiple times because I assumed I damaged something inside the desktop and it couldn’t be the new power supply. Then I replaced my brand new EVGA power supply with another companies more heavy duty PS and my desktop works fine.

When I had a technical issue I reached out to EVGA support on their website, which is a very lengthy process, they told me that they would update my customer support ticket in 2-3 business days. Instead it took them three weeks to NOT update the support ticket and I would recommend NOT to buy from this company.

Lackluster qualtiy on this series

This series has terrible QA. Out of the box had multiple wires that were not connected to the 24 pin connector.

I understand this is the least expensive of the EVGA brand as it does not have the modular setup etc. But, coming from EVGA, I was at least expecting some quality coming from some sort of quality control before sent out. I ended up going with a competitor that was actually a modular and had bit less wattage but a nicer design with cabling.

This was a major blow to me as a consumer for EVGA. I used to back all of their products. But I have noticed their quality degrade as time has gone on. As well as their warranties. They used to have better warranties, now they just raise the prices on their products.

The 4+4 cpu cable and 20+4 main board connection are a bit of a pain to work with.
I ordered this thinking it would be an upgrade from a prebuilt psu I was using. It worked for about a day, and then while downloading some updates, the whole pc shut down, and it wouldn't power the system up again. I tore everything down, and put back together with old mobo, same problem. Replaced EVGA psu with old one, and everything fired up. Sadly, I didn't get this figured out until after the Amazon return window closed. Hopefully EVGA will replace or refund.

Don't waste your money on anything less than an 80+ gold PSU. I took the chance on this one because the price for a budget build and I came really close to paying big time for it. After less than a week of use, the system gave a pop sound & died. After investigating every single part, I determined it was the PSU. One quick PSU swap later and the build was thankfully back up and running. This isn't the first time I've used a bronze rated PSU, but it will for sure be the last.

Then it simply died. I swapped an 7 year old less reputable brand 600 watt psu in, and it ran the new build solid for days, all through the burn in process. Had to return. Luckily no hassle there.

The seller got it here on time. It was sent in a sealed amazon plastic bag rather in a box with protection and had a few dents in the box. Meh.
