Got out of photography a while ago, but recently got a Sony A7 III to start getting back into it. I'm coming from a collection of Nikon lenses that I didn't want to collect dust until I build up my Sony lens collection. Going back and forth with a handful of adapters, I settled on the K&F with out the aperture control since all of my prime lenses had control rings on them. As soon as you take this thing out of the package, the heft alone gives you an initial impression of quality. Everything was machined great but none of that matters if the adapter doesn't do its actual job well. Luckily, the impression transitioned into actuality as all of my primes mounted SOLID, no wobble whatsoever. Mounting the adapter to the Sony body gives you more resistance that mounting a native lens, but in a comforting manner, not a bad way. All of my Nikkor lenses then mounted on the adapter wonderfully. Pictures came out great without much distortion that I can tell (I'm not a professional though) but from the pictures I've taken, I've been very pleased.

As a bonus...the orange ring matches the A7 orange perfectly. I know at the end of the day aesthetics don't mean anything - but I can't get over how nice this piece is built and finished.

Save yourself the trouble of having to return it immediately after you get it like I am because your camera is not going to be able to recognize the lens.

I received my adapter yesterday. Before adding it to my gear, I checked out the fit onto my Sony a7II camera. The fit was nice and tight. Finish on the adapter is very good. I then checked my 35-105 FD, 28 FD and my 300/4 lenses. All three lenses were easy to focus with this adapter. The images are amazing with the combination of a modern 24mp camera with a set of over 35-40 year old lenses. This really surprized me that it actually worked. There is only one change to the Sony in the menu, and that is the selection to allow the shutter to first without a lense since the adapter does not communicate with the camera body. Your Sony will actually tell you to change this setting when you attempt to shoot the first frame. Minor thing though. I there are any issues I will update the review.

Good piece of kit that fits well to both the camera body of my NEX 5N and the Nikon DX lenses. Well machined aluminium body and feels nice to hold. Very solid. Unfortunately I had ordered the model without the adjustable aperture as I was under the impression the Nex 5n was able to manage this. Unfortunately this isn't to case for the this particular camera without a Sony lense attached. Therefore it is important to ensure you order the correct model or if in doubt just go for the one with the adjustment feature built in. Without it you can only take pictured in bright lighting situations.

Pretty simple product that does the job of adapting Minolta lenses to work on Sony e-mount cameras. If you're looking to do that sort of thing, this adapter is a great choice! Feels like a quality product that should last for a very long time.

Works great for some lenses, not so much for others

I've had this for about a year. Overall it does the job. I use it on my vintage Canon FD 50mm lens when adapting it for a Sony E mount. I have another 50mm Canon FL mount, which should work with this, but doesn't work well. The issue is that there is a little pin inside the adapter that pushes a lever inside the lens and allows you to manipulate the aperture. If you remove it, you can use the FL mount, but then it doesn't work for the FD mount. If you're using FD only, it'll work. Otherwise, maybe try another brand.

The other issue I had with it, is it doesn't allow me to focus to infinity, which is disappointing. I have a long FD mount lens, which is pretty awesome, but without infinity focus it's not really worth keeping on my camera. I'd personally try a different brand.

Not sure about the "anti-reflective coating" within the barrel, but it's just an adapter and it does exactly that. It feels very solid and well-built while also not being heavy either.

The only negative thing I could think of is the size of the logo. It seems like the K&F logo seeks a lot more attention despite just being an adapter to a Helios lens. Not a big deal to me, so it still gets 5-stars.

Fits well on my Sony A7iii

I’ve been trying out a couple different adapters (Nikon F to Sony E) for my Sony A7iii. So far the other one I’ve tried is the Fotasy one, which has also worked out fine for me. I feel that this K & F one is a little bit better build wise; fits tight, without being overly so, and the overall finish and design feels more refined. Perfect fit onto the camera body, and the lens fits perfectly onto the adaptor. Seems like a decent value, although I’d have to say that the Fotasy one, being less than half the price of the K & F, works just as well.

This went on my Sony 7A iv perfect but the adapter itself sucks. It gives a round ring in the photos and it’s super blurry. Accord to this post this is the correct one for my camera however I don’t know who would want fish eye looking photos

The fit is extremely tight

This adapter fights extremely tightly. At first I wasn't sure it fit at all, but I figured out I have to really press to work it into the flanges of the mount, and then I have to apply some force to get it to turn. It's a bit disconcerting. My lenses all fit much more easily. I'm afraid of damaging my camera body.
