I recently completed my first trip (Columbia) with this bag and loved it!!! Not only did the airline accept it without question, which they will not do with a typical backpack or with significant wrapping, but it doesn't make you a mark when you come into town. Over my years of travel I have learned that it is not good to appear to be a backpacker, yet it carries very much like one. The straps are easy to access and easy to stow away. TSA can understand it and it is easy for them to open the large compartment and view your belongings without disrupting your organization. I had it inspected no fewer than 10 times. Like pretty much every Osprey product, it is extremely well-designed and of the highest quality!!
