I had way too much fun making sushi for the first time with this kit. The variety of tools provided allows multiple approaches to sushi/sashimi/nigiri (sorry, I didn't spell check these).
One tip: Although it may be the "right" way to make sushi rice, the process given in the instructions is pretty involved and involves many steps with a lot of time. To a slob like me, I found that just using jasmine rice with slightly more water than usual (maybe 10% more) is a great alternative approach. I'd probably be chased out of Japan for saying that, but then again, local restaurants around here put mayo sauce on their sushi.
