We were looking for something to cover quart jars while brewing coffee in them, cover food items in odd-sized bowls in the fridge, or just cover smaller open food bowls or containers on the counter. We didn't want any fragile or single-use stuff. THESE ARE GREAT!!!! We trimmed off the tabs, and they fit the bill perfectly. They seal every edge and keep the heat in nicely while the coffee brews. As food container covers, they are working great as well. These are nice and sturdy, thicker than silicone baking ware or those rather flimsy made-for-the-purpose silicone lids you can buy, and just like silicone oven mitts or grips do not transmit heat to you. Very, very happy with this product!
