No matter how many times I've cooked with this pan, the handle on this never heated up, even the part that is closed to the pan. The only times it does get warm is when I put this pan in the oven. The variety of foods I have cooked in this pan have all come out delicious and has never stuck to this pan. Even when cooking fish, shrimp or scallops, nothing has stuck. When it comes to cleaning, I do a light clean, never scrubbing it or putting it in the dishwasher. Rather, I use a soft sponge and this cleans it just fine. I've even cooked steaks in this pan and then placing it in the oven to finish cooking it. No matter what I use this pan for, everything comes really easily. I even tried the egg test where you place an egg on the pan with nothing on it and the egg swirled around the pan. For me, the bonus was that this pan comes with a lid.
